Things I Probably Shouldn’t Put on a Business Card

I needed new business cards.

This should have been simple: name, credentials, contact information, maybe something reassuring about healing, hope, or transformation.

Instead, I started writing things I probably shouldn’t put on a business card.

And somewhere along the way, I realized they weren’t really taglines.

They were pieces of how I think about grief, pain, change, uncertainty, and what happens when we stop assuming that something difficult must also be something broken.

They raised questions I wanted to sit with longer, poke at a little harder, and occasionally argue with myself about.

So, apparently, I have a blog now.

Welcome to the things I probably shouldn’t put on a business card.

No Fixing. No Forcing. No Bullshit.

No fixing. No forcing. No bullshit.

We’re remarkably quick to assume that pain means something is wrong.

But what if the person isn’t broken?
What if the grief isn’t broken?
What if even the pain isn’t the problem?

Maybe we’ve been looking for the break when we should have been turning the kaleidoscope.
